CST-KS: CST Instructor Kettlebell Specialist Certification AUG 8, Moorpark, CA
Due to the overwhelming interest in kettlebells, the widespread void of coaching effectiveness education available, and the number of aches, pains and injuries associated with inappropriate training technique and protocols, Scott Sonnon designed performance, breathing, joint mobility and compensatory movement programs to properly energize, prepare and unload tissues for kettlebell lifters.
These programs have been documented for public use in the DVD series, Scott Sonnon's Official Kettlebell Foundation - the official programs you need to serve as the foundation to kettlebell lifting. As you'll see in the DVD course, Scott Sonnon included lessons on the most foundational kettlebell exercises as well; plus a basic training protocol progression that will safely allow you to find the results that you want.
The Official Kettlebell Foundation Programs met with such great success and appeal worldwide, that individuals, teams, agencies and clubs have requested instruction. RMAX cannot merely certify people in kettlebell lifting, since these programs derive from an intimate understanding of Circular Strength Training® (CST). They're taught within the signature "3 Ring" concept of CST, and dissected through the 7 Key Components of CST.
RMAX established a new kettlebell division, and the first two CST Instructor Kettlebell Specialist Certifications were held on February 22nd and August 16th of 2009.
Here is what some of the participants of those seminars said about the Course:
“Scott has an uncanny ability to coach any skill at a high level. I have had experience with most of the well known kettlebell coaches / systems and Scott offers the most sensible and user friendly approach. Thanks Coach!” – John Wolf, CST
“Helped with cueing and ideas about breaking down kettlebell movement exercises to improve clients.” – Kaylee Gardner
“I really enjoy kettlebells and the way they help teach proper form and technique—it was wonderful to learn more.” – Tiffany Morton
“Probably would have come up for just this, even though it was just the delicious icing on this weekend’s delicious cake.” – Jim Romig, CST
“Very good. Lots to learn. Good to learn new methods.” – Doug Salmon
“Very good hands-on instruction that complimented the RMAX Kettlebell Foundation DVD that I purchased and have used.” – Luis Arrañaga, CST
“The CST-KS was an excellent introduction to biomechanically efficient kettlebell lifting. I feel like I have an excellent foundation for proper kettlebell technique in the future.” – John Sifferman, CST
“Learned many techniques for utilizing kettlebells in 6 Degrees of Freedom.” – Aaron Gottschalk, CST Coach
“Solid session. Learned a lot.” – Robert Canale, Jr, CST
“Clear, concise & very comprehensive instruction on kettlebell technique. Great seminar!!!” – James Lee, CST
“As always, Coach Sonnon delivers on content and quality of instruction. The CST-KS seminar went from covering the basic sport exercises to non-traditional variations to typical client expectations to how to properly present this tool to your clients. I really appreciate Scott’s balanced approach on how kettlebells can be used effectively in a health-first CST fitness program and his ability to bring out the best from any tool.” – Steven Hogg, CST
The forth CST Instructor Kettlebell Specialist Certification will be conducted on August 8, 2010 in Moorpark, California. Only CST Instructors or trainees of CST Sigma Cadre may register, for the above stated reasons: this is not a separate certification - you must be a CST in order to comprehend the manner in which these skills are assembled and presented in programmatic format.
Registration information can be found HERE.
As a Certified CST-KS, you will be licensed to teach the Official Kettlebell Foundation:
- 5 kettlebell-specific breathing techniques
- 12 foundational kettlebell lifts
- 29 kettlebell-specific joint mobility warm-up program
- 24 kettlebell-specific compensatory yoga cool-down program
- various training protocols and programs for integrating within overall fitness, sports-performance, specific-applications.

So is it ok to register for sigma cadre and then register to do this one as well on the last day? They don't clash at all?

We appreciate your interest, Zig. Yes, you are welcome to attend both seminars, because the Kettlebell seminar takes place after the CST seminar is over. Keep it up, and let us know if we can ever be of help.
Blessings,
Gary
